There are two components to a home inspection, the onsite time and the report creation time. A quality report takes time to create, and is at times, can take longer than the onsite time. A general rule of thumb is about 2 hours total per 1,000 ft².
There are a few factors that determine cost and every home is unique; however .25 per ft² is a good budgeting number.
